Safety first leads to so many failed romances

Terri Windling's article about documents rabbit and hare mythology from Buddhist cave temple in China to the British Isles.
Windling presented hare and rabbit stories from around the world. I remember childhood folklore about the hare in the moon making pills of longevity and keeping company with the lady on the moon.
She also noted literature on rabbits such as The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, Watership Down by Richard Adams and Thumper from Bambi...
I am going to make a cross stitch of Thumper the little rabbit.

Early Morning
It's first night after Daylight Savings and I woke at 3 AM...
That faint orange is the street light
Soon the sky brightens but the mist remains.
I am wired up, hungry and it's gonna be a long day.

Happenings
The rain tonight drummed out a quiet rhythm. I fell asleep earlier during the evening news. Now the silent sky stays with me while I blog, wide awake, near 2 AM.
Spring has come to my backyard. Below is the plum tree blossoming.
Numerous flowers promise fruits!
It got pretty warm a few weeks back. Tulip seasons arrived with the blooms opening when there is sun and closing at night for protection.
Tulips lean towards light so they can get more energy during the day! I think it's positive phototaxis...

Memorie di Angelina
Frank Fariello blogs about Italian food. I liked the post 'Pasta e ceci' combining pasta with chickpeas.
